Amazing pool view, great location on Dubai Marina, walking distance to metro and beach Positive: We loved the pool, the view and the location. The pool is open 8-22. In January the water was 30* Celcius - and 38 in the small jacuzzi. There are two pool areas (plus a third if you pay extra). The one with the best view (on the pictures) is also the one with the best location regarding sunlight (most of the day) and shelter from wind (away from the ocean). Even though it was only 20 degrees weather, we could sunbathe and swim all day. No problem getting a sunbed since people don't stay very long. We also enjoyed a dip in the pool and jacuzzi in the evenings. There is a sauna and steam bath in the changing rooms and also a gym. The apartment is on the 35th floor (of 65) and has good views as shown on the pictures - northwest and northeast. In a few years there will be a few more buildings, so Dubai Harbour will be less visible (northwest direction). From the balcony you can see part of the marina. Not as much as you can see from the pool area which faces south. There are 6 elevators and we never had to wait long. I was a bit concerned about the check-in situation since we were arriving after midnight. But the host sent me the code for the door, and the reception is open 24-7. So it was no problem checking in and out. Good communication. The taxi dropped us off by the parking entrance (building 2) and this was right be the reception. There is another exit from the building that brings you directly out to the marina promenade. There is a supermarket in the ground floor of the building making shopping easy day and night. And many restaurants nearby, also smaller reasonably priced take-away places. We enjoyed walking along the marina day and night. And we also walked to the beach. It's a little longer to the beach than you might think because you can't go down to the skydiving area. You can get through to the beach right before the La Vie building which is about half an hours walk. Only a short walk to the metro and the tram stations. Negative: At first we were only given one keycard which was difficult because you need the card to make the elevator go to the 35th floor and also to get to the pool and the gym. We mentioned this to the host and they quickly made a second card which helped a bit. We were 4 adults so it would be even better with 4 cards, but it seems like 2 was the maximum. There is a court for paddle tennis. It would be very cool if equipment for this could also be provided. The frying pans seemed a bit old with many small scratches. To be fair, we forgot to mention this to the host. We mentioned a toaster that didn't work, and they brought us another one.
