My stay in this apartment in Dubai was extremely disappointing. Positive: The only thing that was great about this, that it was well located nearby the Dubai Mall. Negative: My stay in this apartment in Dubai was extremely disappointing. It seems that the apartment is not well maintained, and issues are only addressed reactively rather than preventively. For instance, on the first day, we discovered that both the bathtub and bathroom faucet were clogged. Since we arrived late in the evening, the issue was only resolved the next day. The problem with this is that you either have to be present when someone comes to fix it, or you have to leave your door unlocked so someone from their team can enter later. Apparently, they don’t have a copy of the keys. This is obviously very risky, as theoretically, anyone could enter. This means you either have to sacrifice your vacation time waiting for someone to come, or you leave your door open with the risk that anyone can walk in. Additionally, the washing machine broke down on the first use, causing water to flood the floor, which we had to clean up ourselves. The kitchen faucet was loose, and at one point, the electricity went out for the entire day because the owner had not paid the bill, even though other apartments in the complex still had electricity. This indicates that multiple owners rent out apartments in this building. Despite multiple requests for a different apartment due to the poor maintenance and numerous issues, our requests were ignored, and we were told it was not possible. Furthermore, the apartment is literally located right next to a mosque, and the call to prayer at around 5:00 AM is extremely loud. If you are not Muslim, this will certainly wake you up every morning. On top of that, the apartment is poorly isolated, so you hear a lot of noise from outside. For these reasons, I strongly advise against staying here.
